The Lux Law Firm Pricing
Here at The Lux Law Firm, we craft our fees based on your unique case. In most cases, we have a rough idea of what your criminal case will cost and we try to do most of our criminal defense representation on a flat fee basis.
What that means, is that when we quote you a fee for your case you know how much it will actually cost you to have representation throughout your case. This is different from other forms of attorney representation, like hourly fees, which can start off with low retainers but lead to ballooning legal costs that may ultimately leave you unable to continue to afford your attorney on the eve of trial, when you need them the most.
The fees that we quote are based upon the high charge in a case and, in general, our rates are as follows for cases in El Paso county or within a one-hour drive of Colorado Springs:
Misdemeanor and Traffic Charges
Speeding Tickets: $1,000
Traffic Misdemeanors: (i.e. Carless Driving, Hit and Run): $1,500

Payment Plan Options
In many situations we are able to offer a payment plan with verification of employment and a down payment of half the quoted fee as the retainer.
Note: Listed fees cover attorney representation through plea or trial. Fees do not cover post-trial matters, such as appeals, restitution hearings, or motions for post-conviction relief. Fees only cover representation through the initial trial of a case. In the advent of a mistrial or hung-jury necessitating a retrial of the case, additional fees will become due prior to the subsequent trial. Fees only cover the lawyer’s services. If the case necessitates other costs such as hiring an expert, ordering a transcript of testimony, or subpoenaing witness for trial, the client will have to pay those costs separately.
